Current Nursing Approach in Gynecological Cancers Within the Framework of ERAS Protocol

Abstract

Gynecological cancers, which are malignant diseases of female genital organs, in addition to negative effects on women’s health, cause changes in many functions, including body image,
sexual function and reproductive ability, increasing the responsibility of nurses who care for these patients. The adoption, use, and dissemination of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS)
protocol, which is shown as a necessity in the care to be given to women diagnosed with gynecological cancer, is important in terms of increasing the quality of care. In this review, the current
nursing approach applied within the framework of the ERAS protocol in gynecological cancers was discussed.

Jinekolojik Kanserlerde ERAS Protokolü Çerçevesinde Güncel Hemşirelik Yaklaşımı

Abstract

Kadın genital organlarının malign hastalığı olan jinekolojik kanserlerin kadın sağlığı üzerinde yarattığı olumsuz etkilerin yanında, beden imajı, cinsel işlev ve üreme yeteneği de dahil birçok
fonksiyonda değişikliklere neden olması bu hastalara bakım veren hemşirelerin sorumluluğunu artırmaktadır. Jinekolojik kanser tanısı almış kadınlara verilecek bakımda gereklilik olarak gösterilen cerrahi sonrası hızlandırılmış iyileşme protokolünün [Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS)] benimsenmesi, kullanılması ve yaygınlaştırılması verilen bakım kalitesinin artması açısından
önem taşımaktadır. Bu amaçla derlemede jinekolojik kanserlerde ERAS protokolü çerçevesinde uygulanan güncel hemşirelik yaklaşımı ele alınmıştır.
