INDUSTRY AND INTERSECTION OF AESTHETICS: CAMPUS OF ALPULLU SUGAR FACTORY-ERGENE PAVILION AND OUTFITS
Abstract
The campus of Alpullu Sugar Factory is one of the first facilities in the history of Republic of Turkey with its production and social facilities, and the very first to produce sugar as the most essential food product that has been needed during everlasting years of independence war. The factory has not only had great impact on the territory for economic and social development but all the accomodation units around it. Locals had the opportunity to be introduced to social facilities in factory. Sports facilities, a cinema and a ball hall have been provided service for locals for a long time as well as the hospital.In the in-depth analysis of Alpullu Sugar Factory starting from upper scale, it is possible to see the modern style of the period and the Art Deco impact that have influence on the structure. The influence of Art Deco style that had been popular in the first half of the 20Th century in Europe on the inner space outfits of Ergene Pavilion is one of the proofs of the intersection between industrial construction and aesthetics

Abstract
ENDÜSTRİ VE ESTETİĞİN KESİŞİMİ; ALPULLU ŞEKER FABRİKASI YERLEŞKESİ-ERGENE KÖŞKÜ VE DONATILARIAlpullu Şeker Fabrikası Yerleşkesi üretim ve sosyal alanlardan meydana gelen, Cumhuriyet’in ilk sanayi tesislerinden biridir ve aynı zamanda uzun süren savaşlar döneminde en çok ihtiyaç duyulan gıda maddelerinden biri olan şekeri, Türkiye’de ilk üreten fabrikadır. Fabrikanın, bulunduğu yerin yanı sıra çevrede bulunan tüm yerleşim birimlerinin ekonomik ve sosyal kalkınmasında büyük bir etkisi olmuştur. Yöre halkı, sosyal alanlarla da fabrikada tanışma imkânı bulmuştur. Spor tesisleri, sinema ve balo salonu gibi sosyal tesislerin yanında hastanesi de uzun yıllar yöre halkına hizmet etmiştir. Alpullu Şeker Fabrikası’nın üst ölçekten başlayarak derinlemesine analizi yapıldığında mimari biçimlenişte etkili olan Art Deco üslubunun yansımalarını dolayısıyla dönemin çağdaş tarzını ve sanat anlayışını görmek mümkündür. Ergene Köşkü iç mekân donatılarının, 20.yy ilk yarısında Avrupa’da etkili olan Art Deco üslubunun izlerini taşıması da Endüstri yapıları ve estetiğin kesişiminin belgelerinden biridir.
