Artificial Intelligence in Legal Practice: Applications, Challenges, and Future Prospects

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping the legal field, bringing both advantages and concerns. This study examines its influence on legal practice, focusing on efficiency gains and ethical challenges such as bias, privacy risks, and job displacement. Through case studies and an analysis of AI tools, the research evaluates how AI contributes to legal research, contract analysis, and document review. While these technologies improve productivity, they can also reinforce biases if not properly managed. The findings emphasize the importance of transparency and ethical oversight in AI-driven legal work. Future efforts should prioritize reducing bias, increasing AI accountability, and understanding its impact on legal professionals
