Green Inclusive Leadership Scale: A Turkish Validity and Reliability Study

Abstract

The aim of this study is to adapt the Green Inclusive Leadership (GIL) Scale into Turkish and to conduct validity and reliability analyses. The research was carried out within the framework of a quantitative survey design. To examine construct validity, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were performed. According to the EFA results, the single-factor structure explained 75.17% of the total variance, with an eigenvalue of 2.255. In CFA, the three-item model yielded high factor loadings (0.856–0.882) and low error variances (0.221–0.268), indicating strong consistency with the theoretical construct. Convergent validity was supported by a Composite Reliability (CR) value of 0.901 and an Average Variance Extracted (AVE) value of 0.752. Internal consistency was found to be high (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.901; Spearman-Brown = 0.897). In terms of criterion-related validity, analyses revealed that GIL was positively associated with employee voice and negatively associated with work-related emotional exhaustion. In conclusion, the Turkish version of the GIL Scale has been shown to be a valid and reliable measurement tool. This study not only contributes by introducing the scale into Turkish but also provides a valuable instrument for measuring inclusive leadership practices that promote pro-environmental behaviors within the leadership and sustainability literature. Furthermore, the findings offer both theoretical and practical implications for strengthening sustainability-oriented organizational cultures.

Yeşil Kapsayıcı Liderlik Ölçeği: Türkçe Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, Yeşil Kapsayıcı Liderlik (YKL) Ölçeği’nin Türkçeye uyarlanarak geçerlilik ve güvenirlik analizlerinin yapılmasıdır. Çalışma, nicel araştırma desenlerinden tarama modeli çerçevesinde yürütülmüştür. Yapı geçerliliğini incelemek amacıyla Açımlayıcı Faktör Analizi (AFA) ve Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi (DFA) yapılmıştır. AFA sonuçlarına göre tek faktörlü yapı toplam varyansın %75,17’sini açıklamış ve özdeğer 2,255 olarak bulunmuştur. DFA’da ise üç maddeden oluşan modelin faktör yüklerinin yüksek (0,856–0,882) ve hata varyanslarının düşük (0,221–0,268) bulunması modelin kuramsal yapıyla güçlü biçimde örtüştüğünü göstermiştir. Yakınsak geçerlilik bulguları, Bileşik Güvenirlik (CR) = 0,901 ve Ortalama Varyans Açıklaması (AVE) = 0,752 değerleriyle desteklenmiştir. Ölçeğin iç tutarlılık katsayısı yüksek düzeyde bulunmuştur (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0,901; Spearman-Brown = 0,897). Ölçüt bağıntılı geçerlilik kapsamında yapılan analizlerde, YKL’nin çalışan sesliliği ile pozitif, işe bağlı duygusal tükenmişlik ile negatif yönde anlamlı ilişkiler gösterdiği saptanmıştır. Sonuç olarak, YKL Ölçeği’nin Türkçe formunun geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçüm aracı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çalışma, yalnızca ölçeğin Türkçe’ye kazandırılmasına katkı sunmakla kalmayıp, liderlik ve sürdürülebilirlik literatüründe çevreci davranışları teşvik eden kapsayıcı liderlik anlayışının ölçülmesine yönelik önemli bir araç sağlamaktadır. Ayrıca, araştırma bulguları, örgütlerde sürdürülebilirlik kültürünün geliştirilmesine yönelik hem akademik hem de pratik düzeyde değerli çıkarımlar sunmaktadır.
