Spiritual care is an important element of holistic care because it is the basis for all individuals. Nurses should consider the spiritual needs as an element of holistic care when planning the care of individuals and should plan and practice for spiritual care. In order for the nurse to take care of the caregiver from the spiritual point of view, he / she is expected to be aware of his or her spiritual dimension and to have a perspective that can evaluate the spiritual coping skills of the patients. Therefore, in order to determine the needs of nurses and plan appropriate initiatives, their knowledge, skills and approaches on spirituality should be at a professional level. In order to maintain spiritual care at the systematic and professional level, students should gain a holistic approach to care in the nursing education process and deficiencies in spirituality and apiritual care must be determined and planning of the curriculum in this direction is gaining importence. In this review article, it is intended to support nurses 'spiritual care applications in line with the nursing process.
