Rector’s Message to the First Issue of JOPEM

Abstract

Mustafa Kemal University (MKU) is a public university established at Antakya/Hatay in 1992. With more than 20,000 students and about 1,000 academicians, MKU is one of the capable and important research universities in southern Turkey. As part of MKU’s strategic vision and mission in the next decades, our aim is to evolve into a place of strong research and teaching excellence in the academic world. To these ends, our researchers are showing intense feeling and desire to find answers to the world’s contemporary crises and urgent questions, and educate university youth in order to get ready for the challenges of life and help them to shape the world as the nation’s future.

With this new journal entitled Journal of Politics, Economy, and Management (JOPEM), together with our friends, supporters and alumni, we offer a window of opportunity for academicians from Turkey and worldwide to publish in a peer-reviewed academic journal for the advancement of scientific research and knowledge, for which we are eminently responsible.
