The silver nanoparticles supported on aluminum pillared Clay (Ag/Al-B), with Ag content of about 1%, were used for the free catalyzed oxidation of cyclohexene with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The structure of the material was subsequently studied by IR, BET, and X-ray diffraction analysis. The silver supported on aluminium pillared clay (Au / Al-B) catalyst gives a high activity relative to the clay purified.
