A large number of Uyghur administrative documents belonging to the Qing period are atored at the First Historical Archive of China in Beijing. The collection includes the documents in 1784, written in Uyghur and Manchu, addressed from the Kirghiz Kipchak tribe. The documents, which were brought by the Hâkim, Biy of Kipchak tribe, are letters that were presented to the Qing adiministrator (amban). Therefore, in our study of the Kirghiz-Qing relatioship in their final stage, these documents are highly valuble as original sources. In this paper, mainly on the basis of these documents, we provide some addintional explanation, taking into account the features of the documents and their historical background
