Rāhatü’l-Kulūb Uyghur script Chagatai language the manuscripts of Temurids’ period Chagatai language
The Rāhatü’l-Kulūb ‘Pleasant
of hearts’ is the third huge work of compendium (Madjmua) on Uyghur
script, which preserved in British Museum by Orient 8193. This manuscript was
copied by Mansur Baxši in the cultural center of Timurids’ empire in Yazd in
1432. Rāhatü’l-Kulūb is a work, which
contains a religious and philosophical subjects and hadises of the Prophet and
advices of wise men. This work is the most appropriate version of the XV
century Turkish-language literature, Turkish-Islamic philosophical poems. This
text was written in the beautiful literary style of Chagatai language. It is an
essential written work in Turkish literature, particularly, in the history of
