Aim & Scope

The Journal of Pediatric Clinical Science aims to advance the care of newborns, children, and adolescents by publishing clinically relevant research that informs pediatric practice. The journal provides a forum for sharing scientific evidence and clinical experience to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and management of childhood diseases and promote child and adolescent health.

The journal seeks to support evidence-based clinical decision-making, encourage collaboration across pediatrics, pediatric surgery, child and adolescent psychiatry, pediatric radiology, and related disciplines, and connect research findings with everyday practice. Its readership includes pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, pediatric surgeons, child and adolescent psychiatrists, pediatric radiologists, researchers, and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of children and adolescents.

The Journal of Pediatric Clinical Science publishes English-language contributions covering general pediatrics, pediatric subspecialties, pediatric surgery, child and adolescent psychiatry, and pediatric radiology, from the neonatal period through adolescence.

Areas of interest include neonatology, adolescent medicine, pediatric pulmonology, allergy and immunology, infectious diseases, cardiology, gastroenterology and hepatology, nutrition, nephrology, endocrinology, hematology and oncology, neurology, rheumatology, genetics and metabolic diseases, pediatric emergency medicine, and pediatric intensive care. The journal also covers the surgical management of childhood diseases, mental health and psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents, and diagnostic and interventional imaging in pediatric populations. Additional areas include growth and development, preventive pediatrics, rare diseases, and the quality and safety of pediatric care.

The journal considers original research articles, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, narrative reviews, and case reports with a clear clinical or educational contribution. Clinical and epidemiological studies, as well as translational research with direct relevance to pediatric care, are within its scope. Multidisciplinary studies are welcome when their primary focus is child or adolescent health.
