Geliştirilmekte Olan Yerli Ticari Yumurtacı Hibritlerin Verim Özelliklerinin Belirlenmesi

Year 2009, Volume: 8 Issue: 1, 5 - 9, 01.05.2009

Abstract

The Determining Performance of Commercial Native Laying Hybrids

Year 2009, Volume: 8 Issue: 1, 5 - 9, 01.05.2009

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine of the performance parameters of native hybrids in two region of Turkey. In this study, Brown commercial hybrids (ATAK and ATAK-S) and white commercial hybrid (ATABEY) improved by Poultry Research institute were used. 350 female chickens from each genotype (totally 2100) were sent to Animal Science Departments of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) and Süleyman Demirel University (SDU). Chicks were grown in research units up to 18 weeks age and then were transferred to cages in which yield data were recorded. Laying period viability, sex maturity, hen-day egg production, egg weight, daily feed consumption were found as 96.00%, 96.69%, 96.30%; 144.65, 145.33, 145.48 days; 289.49, 291.72, 292.52 eggs; 61.17, 64.39, 56.48 g; 118.87, 131.35, 110.52 g for ATAK, ATAK-S and ATABEY genotypes in SDU during 72 weeks laying period . The corresponding values for ATAK, ATAK-S and ATABEY genotypes in OMU were found as 89.17%, 95.05%, 94.12%; 147.81, 141.96, 148.67 days; 273.30, 283.26, 272.51 days; 61.78,62.75,54.14 g; 115.00,127.03,106.40 g, respectively
