Smallbowel tumors are rare and account for 1-2% of all gastrointestinal neoplasms. Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) are one of the new undifferentiated mesenchymal tumors of the gastrointestinal tract diagnosed by immunohistochemistry. Most of these tumors are found at surgery indicated for other diagnosis or intestinal obstruction. Here in, the clinical a case of a small intestinal stromal tumor, localised in the jejunum and characterised by a clinical aspect, is presented and a review of the literature is made.
