We aimed to evaluate the development of relapse and the factors affecting development of relapse on the patients treated with intraperitoneal dual mesh for incisional hernia. Sixtythree patients, treated with intraperitoneal dual mesh for incisional hernia, estimated for relapsing ratio and the factors of affecting development of relapse by inspecting after operation. The percentage of relapse was found of 12.29% at patients treated with intraperitoneal dual mesh for incisional hernia. The significant relation was established between the relapses and infection of lesion and chronic obstructive lung disease (COLD) (p<0.001). Application of intraperitoneal dual mesh for the treatment of incisional hernia should be beared in mind as a prominent option with the limited acceptable complications. COLD and infection of lesion is established as an important risk factor.
