AN INTERESTING CASE OF COSTAL OSTEOCHONDROMA

Year 2014, Volume: 7 Issue: 2, 109 - 111, 01.06.2014

Abstract

The largest group of benign bone tumors is cartilage cap osteochondroma. While it’s most common in the distal part of the femur, the tibia and the proximal humerus, rarely it can be observed in the base of skull, vertebral column, costa and pelvis. We present an osteochondroma case originating from the seventh right costa of a forty seven year old woman. The case shows exophytic growth pattern through the liver and its boundary with the liver is not clear in the tomogram which causes difficulties in diagnosis. We present the case accompanied by a review of the literature.

İlginç bir kostal osteokondrom olgusu

Year 2014, Volume: 7 Issue: 2, 109 - 111, 01.06.2014
