An Ontological Evaluation Of The Great Fire Of Rome

Öz

In this study, the Great Fire of Rome Incident will be examined both in terms of the adopted conjunctural discourse and immutable truths through the main characters of the Roman Emperor Nero and St. Peter. In this respect, this study is a prototype study in its field in terms of the adopted research methodology and the style of elaborating issues regarding the Incident in terms of explaining and understanding some other similar critical incidents and conspiracies. In the context of the Great Fire of Rome, the positive or negative merits of Emperor Nero as head of state, his successes and practices in crisis management, and the effects of positive or negative propaganda about him will be examined. Subsequently, the events that led St. Peter to be crucified will be discussed with a hermeneutic discussion and interpretation. Thus, in the explanation of the cases, the fact that each event has indeed two aspects, which is everything creates its opposite, will be emphasized. So, it is elaborated that the goodness may only rise in a process of testing itself. Also, the fact that truths are absolutely exposed will be explained. Because, despite the created or imposed conjunctural discourses, the reality will always be disclosed. In this research, these issues are depicted in the historical ''Great Fire of Rome Incident''. In this sense, the importance of this study is that the topic is elaborated from a historical and critical perspective in a manner of ontological and analogical vision.

Büyük Roma Yangını Üzerine Ontolojik Bir Değerlendirme

Öz

Bu çalışmada Büyük Roma Yangını Olayı, Roma İmparatoru Nero ve Aziz Petrus ana karakterleri üzerinden, benimsenen konjonktürel diskur ve öte yandan değişmez hakikatler nispetinde incelenecektir. Bu bağlamda, bu çalışma, benimsenen araştırma metodolojisi ve hadiseye ilişkin bazı hususların ele alınış tarzı bakımından, diğer bazı benzer kritik olay ve komploların da açıklanması ve anlaşılması noktasında bir prototip çalışmadır. Bu kapsamda Büyük Roma Yangını Hadisesi bağlamında İmparator Nero'nun hükümdar olarak olumlu ya da olumsuz meziyetleri, kriz yönetimindeki başarı ve pratikleri, hükümdarlığı öncesi, sırası ve sonrasında kendisi hakkında yapılan olumlu ya da olumsuz propagandaların etkileri incelenecektir. Çalışmanın devamında Aziz Peter’i idama sürükleyen hadiseler hermenötik bir tartışma ve yorum ile ele alınacaktır. Böylece bu çalışmada ''Büyük Roma Yangını Hadisesi'' üzerinden, hadiselerin anlaşılması ve açıklanması sürecinde her şeyin zıddıyla kaim olduğu gerçeğinden hareketle muhatap olunan ve sınanılan kötülük nispetinde iyiliğin yücelebileceği ve hadiselerin gerçek mahiyetinin kuvvet ve cebirle yaratılan veya dayatılan dönemsel ve konjonktürel diskurlara rağmen mutlaka bir vesileyle açığa çıkacağı hususlarının izahı hedeflenmiştir. Bu anlamda bu çalışmanın belirgin özelliği, konunun ontolojik ve analojik bir bakış açısıyla tarihsel ve eleştirel bir perspektifte işlenmesidir.
