Kümelenmiş Verilerde Bağımlı İki Oranın Karşılaştırılması

Abstract

Bir serbestlik dereceli ki-kare dağılımına sahip olan McNemar testi, bağımlı örneklemlerden tahmin edilen iki oranın karşılaştırılmasında kullanılır. Bu testin temel varsayımı, her bir gözlem çiftinin bağımsız olmasıdır. Fakat, bazı çalışmalarda bir bireyden birden fazla ölçüm alınır ve "kümelenmiş veri" olarak adlandırılan bu verilerde bağımsızlık varsayımı sağlanmaz. Yapılan benzetim çalışmaları, bu varsayımın bozulmasının 1.tip hata oranında artışa neden olduğunu göstermiştir. Kümelenmiş verilere genellikle radyoloji, diş ve göz hastalıkları alanlarında yapılan çalışmalarda rastlanır. Çalışmamızda, kümelenmiş verilerde bağımlı iki oranın karşılaştırılması için Eliasziw ve Donner, Obuchowski ve Durkalski ile arkadaşları tarafından önerilen yöntemler tanıtılmıştır. Bu yöntemler, radyoloji alanında yapılan bir çalışmanın verileri üzerinde uygulanmış; sonuçlar standart McNemar testinden elde edilenle karşılaştırılmıştır.

Comparison of Two Correlated Proportions for Clustered Data

Abstract

McNemar's one degree of freedom chi-square test is used to compare two proportions estimated from dependent samples. The main assumption of this test is that the paired responses are independent. However, in some studies more than one observation is taken from an individual and this assumption is not hold. This data structure is called as "clustered data. The simulation studies have been shown that a violation of this assumption could lead to an increase in the type I error rate. Examples of clustered data can be given from studies made on radyology, periodontology and opthalmology. In this paper, methods proposed by Eliasziw and Donner, Obuchowski and Durkalski et.al has been introduced. These methods has been applied on a data set of a study made in radyology and compared to the result of standard McNemar test.
