The Case of Cells of Two and Three Dimensional Tables Having Less Than 5 Frequencies, the Case of First Type Error (α) Probabilities

Abstract

2 and 3 dimensional tables are set as the frequencies of the table cells will be less than 5 and 5 or more, and marginal totals will be constant (equal to each other) and different from each other by simulation study. In these conditions, uniform random numbers were produced and Chi square analyze has been done 100000 times by using same marginal totals. At the end of the simulation study, α (first type error) probabilities have been found. For the condition of constant (equal to each other) marginal totals in the case of having theoretical frequency as 2 and 4, a big difference has occurred for α probability realized.

İki ve Üç Yönlü Tabloların Gözelerinde 5’den Küçük Beklenen Frekans Olması Durumunda, I. Tip Hata Olasılığının (α) Durumu

Abstract

Simulasyon çalışmasıyla; 2 ve 3 yönlü tabloların gözlerine genellikle 5’den az ve 5’den fazla frekans düşecek şekilde, eşit ve birbirinden farklı olarak verilen marjinal toplamlar sabit tutularak, üniform tesadüfi sayıları üretilip Ki kare analizi 100000 defa yapılmış ve gerçekleşen 1'inci tip hata olasılıkları bulunmuştur. Yapılan hesaplamalar sonucunda gözlere teorik olarak 2 ve 4 frekans düşecek şekilde belirlenen eşit marjinal toplamlar durumunda, gerçekleşen 1'inci tip hata olasılığında büyük bir sapma olmuştur.
