Emre ÖZŞAHİN was born in Gönen (Balıkesir) and completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Gönen. In 2003, he graduated from Balıkesir University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Geography in 2007 and received his bachelor's degree. Between 2008-2013, he worked as a specialist at Mustafa Kemal University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Geography. He completed his master's program in 2009 and his doctorate in Istanbul University in 2013. In 2013, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Geography. In 2017, he was promoted to Associate Professor and in 2024 to Prof.. Özşahin has been working as the Head of the Department of Geography at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University since 2018. Özşahin has published more than 100 scientific publications in national and international categories and participated in domestic and international conferences. The researcher, who conducts scientific studies in the fields of Geomorphology, Soil Geography and Geographic Information Systems, is currently working as a faculty member at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Özşahin is married and has two daughters.
