Journal of World Geography and Development Perspectives aims to publish original and innovative scientific research on geographical approaches (physical, human, natural environment and Geographic Information Systems) that produce solutions for physical and human problems related to time and space, and to publish scientific research in this respect. It is a journal that allows information to be shared. In this respect, the journal is open to any original article that produces solutions to human and physical geography problems by applying the science of geography. All works go through a competent and independent refereeing process before they are published.

Physical Geography (Geomorphology, Climatology, Biogeography, Soil, Vegetation, Disasters, etc.), Human Geography (Population, Economy, Tourism, Agriculture, Livestock, Mines) within the framework of sustainability and development in the Journal of World Geography and Development Perspectives. , Land Use, etc.), Comprehensive Reivews, and articles on theoretical and applied topics related to Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing are accepted.

Writing rules
Care should be taken to present the articles in the following order using our journal's article template:

1. The journal is a peer-reviewed scientific publication of Atatürk University Faculty of Letters and is published twice a year (June and December). Research in the field of Social Sciences is included in the journal. 2. The works to be published in the journal must not have been published in any scientific journal before. 3. The language of article writing in the journal is Turkish and English. Spelling and punctuation are based on the latest edition of the TDK Spelling Guide. Submitted manuscripts must be clear and understandable, in accordance with scientific criteria in terms of language and expression. The journal is a peer-reviewed scientific publication of Atatürk University Faculty of Letters and is published twice a year (June and December). Research in the field of Social Sciences is included in the journal.
2. The works to be published in the journal must not have been published in any scientific journal before.
3. The language of article writing in the journal is Turkish and English. Spelling and punctuation are based on the latest edition of the TDK Spelling Guide. Submitted manuscripts should be clear and understandable, in accordance with scientific criteria in terms of language and expression.

4. For the studies to be sent to our journal, "any kind of research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that requires data collection from the participants using survey, interview, focus group work, observation, experiment, interview techniques", an Ethics Committee Decision should be taken that the study is allowed before starting the study, and after that the work should be completed. Articles should include a statement about compliance with Research and Publication Ethics.

5. In studies that require ethics committee permission, information about the permission (name of the committee, date and number) should be included in the method section and also on the first/last page of the article. In case reports, it is necessary to include information that the informed consent/consent form was signed in the article.
6. Articles are on A4 size (210 x 297 mm) paper; 3.5 cm from the top and bottom edges, 2.5 cm from the right and left edges. It should be written in “Garamond” character, 11 pt, with spaces left and justified; The entire text (including references and extended abstract) should not exceed 10,000 words.
7. The articles to be sent to the journal should be written in Microsoft Word program. The title of the work should be in capital letters and bold, in 16 points with "Garamond" font in the middle of the work. Just below the title, the branch of science to which the study belongs (eg business administration, economics, international relations, etc.) and the type of study (research / paper / promotion / review / case report) should be stated.
8. Write the names of the author or authors, leaving a blank line just below the title of the study; Title, institution (university), author numbers and e-mail addresses obtained from https://orcid.org/register should be given at the bottom of the page with a (*) sign. If the study was supported by any institution, the name of the supporting institution should be placed on the last word of the main title of the article and the name of the supporting institution should be given as a footnote on the same page.
9. The summary of the study should be written after the names of the author and the author, with a blank line. The Turkish abstract of the study should be at least 150 and at most 200 words. The abstract should be written in "Garamond" character and 9 points.
10. The study should contain Turkish keywords consisting of at least 3 and at most 7 words.
11. The title, abstract, keywords and type of the study in English should be written with 1 line space right after the Turkish keywords, taking into account the criteria mentioned above. The English summary of the work should be considered as a summary of the work and should be a minimum of 150 and a maximum of 200 words.
12. Articles should have an extended summary of 600-800 words in English. The English title of the study should be presented above the English abstract. The extended summary should include information about the research, purpose, problem, method, findings and conclusions. Below the extended abstract, there should be 3-7 English keywords representing the content of the study. In the article, the extended summary in English should be placed before the bibliography. Extended abstract in English is only required for Turkish articles. Extended abstracts are not required for articles in English.
13. The main text of the study should be written by leaving 1 line space right after the English keywords, especially the Introduction. The titles used in the study should be numbered. All titles should be written with the first letter capitalized. One line space should be left before the titles used in the study.
14. Paragraph dimensions to be used during the text to be written throughout the study, the text should be justified, the first line should be 0.5 cm. and at least 12nk line spacing should be used.
15. Figures to be used in the study should be numbered from 1 and named and placed under the figure. 

ETHICAL PRINCIPLES AND PUBLICATION POLICY

Journal of World Geography and Development Perspectives - Journal of World Geography and Development Perspectives is an international peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes original scientific articles meeting the criteria in the relevant discipline.

The ethical responsibilities of the publisher, editors, referees and authors of the Journal of World Geography and Development Perspectives are listed below. All stakeholders are requested to pay attention to these ethical principles.

Publisher's Responsibilities

The publisher guarantees that the editor of the Journal of World Geography and Development Perspectives and field editors act independently in their decisions in all processes from article acceptance to publication.
The publisher or any outside agent cannot make a request contrary to editorial independence and cannot interfere with the publication process.
The publisher undertakes to provide free access to all articles published in the Journal of World Geography and Development Perspectives in line with the Open Access principle.
The publisher protects the intellectual property and copyright of every article published in the Journal of World Geography and Development Perspectives . However, it is obliged to provide a record of every published article.
It does not demand any monetary or moral compensation from the authors during the article application and publication process.
While the issue of publication ethics in the articles sent to our journal is the responsibility of the authors, they are also subject to a plagiarism review (Turnitin or iThenticate) by the Editor. With this process, it is aimed to increase the originality and scientific quality of the articles and to prevent plagiarism.
The publisher, together with the editors, is obliged to take the necessary precautions in case of any violation of scientific ethical principles and plagiarism.
If it is determined that there has been an ethical violation, it may resort to remedies such as redressing the violation if possible, publishing a correction if not possible, or withdrawing the relevant article from publication.
Editors' Responsibilities

It is the editors' responsibility to decide which of the articles submitted to the Journal of World Geography and Development Perspectives will be published.
Submitted articles are subjected to a preliminary evaluation in terms of compliance with the scope of the journal and publication principles, taking into account academic qualities such as being research-based, originality, contributing to the field, and examining new and different developments.
In order to increase the originality and scientific quality of the articles and to prevent plagiarism, they are subjected to similarity examination (Turnitin or iThenticate) before being sent to the field editors.
The referee process of the articles whose preliminary evaluation is completed is initiated by the field editors. As a result of the decision of the referees, it is decided whether the articles will be published or not, based on the academic adequacy of the articles.
The characteristics of the author(s) such as gender, ethnicity, religious belief, political thought, and the institution they work for are not taken into account in the evaluation of the articles sent to the Journal of World Geography and Development Perspectives and in the determination of the referees.
Any private information about the articles sent to the Journal of World Geography and Development Perspectives is not shared with anyone other than the author(s), referees, assistant editors, editorial board and publisher.
After the publication or rejection of the article, the confidentiality principle is followed.
Editors cannot use the information contained in a study sent to the Journal of World Geography and Development Perspectives in their own research without the express written permission of the author(s). Likewise, they cannot use the information or ideas obtained from peer review for their own benefit.
If a conflict of interest arises between the author and the author, the editor should request that one of the other editors or the editorial board do the preliminary evaluation and manage the refereeing process.
Articles should not be sent to referees who may have a conflict of interest on the subject.
The articles whose preliminary evaluation is completed are sent to the referee evaluation without waiting.
The decisions taken by the referees regarding the article are notified to the authors without delay, so that the authors make the corrections requested by the referees.
In the editorial processes, the deadlines determined by the Journal of World Geography and Development Perspectives are followed.
Referees are selected from among the most competent names in accordance with the subject of the article.
The principle of blind refereeing is respected, the information of the referees is kept confidential. In addition, during the submission of the articles to the referees, care is taken not to contain any personal information about the author(s) in the article file.
Care is taken to update and expand the referee pool.
Appropriate language is used when notifying the reasons for rejection to the author(s).
In case of ethical complaints about a published article, necessary investigations are made. The author is contacted and informed about the complaints and claims. If, as a result of the investigation, it is determined that there is a violation of the ethical rules, a correction note is published stating that there is an error, inconsistency or misdirection regarding the publication.
Responsibilities of the Referees

Peer review is at the heart of the academic publication process. Referee decisions assist editors in making editorial decisions.
Reviewers assist the author(s) in the development of the manuscript through editorial communication.
Due to the double-blind peer-review system, they cannot directly contact the authors. Evaluation forms and reports are sent to the authors via the journal system through the editors.
A referee who is sent a request for article evaluation should inform the editor as soon as possible whether he will act as a referee for the relevant study.
If the referee does not know enough about the subject, if the subject of the article is out of his field of expertise, or if he cannot complete the evaluation in due time due to time constraints, he should inform the editor by stating the reason and request to withdraw from the refereeing.
Referees should complete their evaluations within the time stipulated by the journal and should not delay the process.
All information regarding the articles sent to the referees for evaluation should be kept confidential by the referees.
Article content should not be shown or discussed with others without editorial authorization.
Reviewers should destroy the first versions of the studies they have reviewed after the evaluation process. They can only use the final, i.e. published, versions of the articles.
The confidentiality policy also covers the referees who refuse to evaluate because they have obtained the title and summary information.
Referees make their evaluations objectively. Criticism of the article should be made objectively and in accordance with ethical principles.
Criticism should be directed towards the article, personal criticism of the author should not be made.
Referees should express their views clearly with supporting evidence.
When rejecting the article, the referees should act with principles and truth, and clearly report their reasons. Writing the justifications is an ethical responsibility. Appropriate language should be used in the report regarding the rejection of the article.
Referees should make their assessments in a constructive and courteous manner.
If the referees have identified the citations that are not cited in the article, they are obliged to inform the author.
If the referees notice that there is a similarity or overlap between the article they are evaluating and a previously published study, they should inform the editor.
In case of any collaborative connection with the author(s) whose article they are assigned to evaluate, the referees should not accept the evaluation and should inform the editor about the situation.
Referees cannot use all or part of the articles sent to them for evaluation in their own research without the express written permission of the author. All kinds of information, data and ideas obtained during the evaluation process should be kept confidential and should not be used for personal gain. This rule also covers referees who refuse to evaluate the article sent to them.
Referees cannot denigrate studies that do not refer to their own work and cannot force the author(s) to refer to these studies if they have their own studies on the subject of the article.
Authors Responsibilities

The original article author(s) should accurately and clearly state how their work was done and its importance, and present the results of their work in an objective way.
The article should be detailed enough to allow other researchers to carry out similar studies and the sources that can be used should be specified.
Statements that are untrue and intentionally inaccurate are incompatible with scientific ethics and are unacceptable.
Authors should ensure that their articles are completely original and that they have fully and accurately cited and cited if other work has been used in their article.
Plagiarism in any way is contrary to publishing ethics and is unacceptable. Therefore, authors should be careful not to plagiarize their articles.
The author(s) should be able to make the raw data of their research publicly available and retain this data for a reasonable period of time after publication, if requested for editorial or peer-review.
Author(s) cannot submit their article to more than one journal simultaneously for publication.
An article that has been previously published in a journal or submitted for publication and taken into evaluation process cannot be sent to another journal for publication.
It may be possible to republish articles previously published in another journal, provided that certain conditions are met. In this case, the editors of the relevant journals must accept the publication of the study in another journal, and it is essential to refer to the journal in which the first publication was made.
Author(s) should cite sources that were influential in determining their work.
Information obtained as a result of personal interviews should not be used without the permission of the source person.
All sources used in the study process should be specified.
Publications containing both supportive and opposing results regarding the subject of the article should be indicated.
It is an ethical responsibility to thank those who supported the research by specifying them.
Persons to be listed as article authors should be limited to those who have personally participated in all processes in the preparation of the article and contributed significantly. If there are people who contributed at certain stages of the study, they should be stated as "contributors" and they should be thanked.
If the article has more than one author, one of them should be designated as the "responsible author" and this author should be in contact with the editor and conduct the correspondence. Corresponding author should ensure that all other authors are involved in every stage of the article from the evaluation process to its publication.
The author(s) should state any material and moral conflicts of interest that may be thought to affect the results and comments of the study, during the submission of the article.
The author(s) should document that they have the right to use the data they use and the necessary permissions for research and analysis.
Ethics committee approval should be obtained separately for studies that require an Ethics Committee decision, and this approval should be stated and documented in the article.
Author(s) should avoid situations in which they think that gender, ethnicity, religious belief, political thought, and the institution they work for, slander, belittle, disturb the society, and cause social reactions on the issues that are the subject of the research in their articles.

The Journal of World Geography and Development Perspectives does not charge any fees for the submission, evaluation and publication of the articles.
