The nature of the relationship between religion and science traces back to
medieval times under the titles of revelation and reason, religion and philosophy, etc.
What makes the discussion area so wide is the fact that religion uses a multi-functional
language which almost refers all these fields. Throughout the ages some classifications
have been made with regard to this relation, and naturally each respective approach
has its own supporters. While some put a gap between religion and science, others
tried to bridge this gap and still others maintained that there are no any common
concepts between two which make it possible to discuss them within the same context.
The following paper deals with these different approaches and tries to put forward
some common concepts which helps us tackle the religion and science or reason
together
