-Mawl?n?'s Arguments for the Exıstence of God
In this article we examine the method of proving God's existence by Mawl?n? Jala?l al-Di?n al-R?m? (d. 672/1273), a poet and mystic who has an important place in some mystical circles and Anatolian Islamic Culture. His basic argument for proving the existence of God is the way of religious experience. But the sage refers to some rational arguments of the philosophers and mutakallimun, as well, though he seems unwillingly to use them. But while doing that, neither he gives any explanation in the way that ‘this is the cosmological argument’ nor thinks those arguments out systematically.
