Editorial Guidelines

  • Manuscripts are sent to the journal via electronic mail. Articles submitted to the journal must not have been published elsewhere or sent for publication. The submission of the article to our journal means the author's commitment to this issue.
  • Only one article by one author can be published in each issue.
  • KHM does not accept articles for a specific issue, except for special issues of the journal. Authors can submit their articles at any time. After the evaluation process is completed, the editors decide which issue will be published by taking into account issues such as the date of arrival, the subject and field weights of the articles in the issue. Absolutely no time, issue and publication guarantee is given for the articles.
  • No royalties are paid to the authors. Authors should fill in the authorship and copyright form when submitting their works and send it with the article. (Copyright Form)
  • In addition, within the scope of open access policies, scientific publications that have passed the editor and/or referee evaluation in Kırıkkale Law Journal are licensed under the "Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International Licence (CC BY-NC 4.0)".
  • All responsibilities that may arise from the opinions put forward in the studies published in the journal belong to the authors. It is obligatory to comply with research and publication ethics in articles published in our journal.
  • The journal follows the Committee on Publication Ethics' (COPE) "Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors" and "Code of Conduct for Journal Publishers". Regarding COPE's documents, see https://publicationethics.org
  • Articles should be at least 5.000 and at most 15.000 words, including footnotes, excluding abstract, extended abstract and bibliography. Introductory and review articles should be at least 1.500 words and at most 3.000 words.
  • Authors should provide their titles, institutions, contact addresses, ORCID information, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses. Author names should appear below and to the right of the title in Turkish and English, and an asterisk should be placed at the end of the surname. In the starred footnote, the author's title, institution, field, ORCID information and e-mail address should be reported.
  • The journal publishes articles in Turkish, German and English.
  • Articles should include an abstract of at least 150 and at most 200 words in Turkish and English and at least 3 and at most 5 keywords.
  • Effective from issue 2024/1, articles should include an extended abstract (Extended Summary) of 600-800 words in English. The extended abstract may briefly include the following information: purpose of the study, theoretical framework, methodology, findings and discussion, conclusions and recommendations.
  • At the preliminary review stage, the manuscripts are scanned by a plagiarism scanning programme. Articles that exceed a maximum of 15% similarity (excluding bibliographic materials and citations) are returned.
  • Manuscripts that are initially evaluated by the Editorial Board and found to be not in compliance with the publication principles are returned to the author for correction in line with the publication principles before being sent to the referee. Unusual spelling mistakes and non-compliance with scientific criteria are sufficient for the rejection of the manuscript by the Editorial Board. Manuscripts that are found appropriate in the first evaluation are sent to referees in accordance with the principles of blind refereeing. Authors are not informed about which referees the manuscript has been sent to. Based on the reports received from the referees, it is decided to publish, revise or reject the manuscript.
  • All Referee Reports are kept for 5 years to allow inspection by the ULAKBIM (National Academic Network and Information Centre) Law Database Committee.
  • In addition to peer-reviewed articles, the journal also includes articles such as translation articles, decision reviews, legislation reviews and book reviews. The Editorial Board decides whether or not to publish such articles.
  • Articles produced from postgraduate theses cannot be more than 20% of the articles published in the relevant issue of the journal.
