Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Cançelik is a faculty member at Kocaeli University, Faculty of Theology, Department of Islamic History and Arts, where he teaches Ottoman Turkish and Islamic Turkish Literature. He completed his BA, MA, and PhD at Istanbul University in the field of Turkish Language and Literature. His doctoral dissertation examined sixteenth-century Ottoman divan poetry as a historical source.

His academic research focuses on classical Turkish literature, Sufi and mystical poetry, the relationship between divan poetry and music, urban and civilizational thought, and Ottoman intellectual and cultural history. He has published extensively on Sufi poets such as Niyâzî-i Mısrî, Nâbî, Yunus Emre, Nesîmî, and Şeyh Gâlib, with particular attention to mystical aesthetics, cosmology, and symbolism in poetry. He has served as principal investigator and advisor in numerous national and international research projects, including studies on manuscript collections, lyric anthologies, and textual analysis.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cançelik’s work adopts an interdisciplinary approach that brings together literature, mysticism, and intellectual history, and he continues to contribute to comparative studies on the mystical and cosmological dimensions of classical poetic traditions.

  • 2023 – Participated in the First International Conference on the Prophetic Biography, entitled “From the Prophetic Biography to Ethical Witnessing: Landmarks and Perspectives,” organized by the Prince Abdul Mohsin bin Jalawi Center for Islamic Research and Studies, Saudi Arabia, presenting the paper: “The Human Dimension of the Traffic Safety System in Islamic Jurisprudence: Foundations and Principles.”

Moh Isom Mudin is a lecturer at the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Universitas Darussalam (UNIDA) Gontor, Ponorogo, Indonesia. He currently serves as Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs (2022–2025) and Director of Nursi Corner UNIDA Gontor (2021–2025). Previously, he served as Head of the Department of Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy (2017–2020). He is an active member of the Indonesian Association of Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy (AAFI) since 2020 and also serves as an Internal Auditor at UNIDA Gontor since 2022. His primary research interests lie at the intersection of Islamic philosophy, cosmology, and environmental ethics, with a core expertise in Eco-Sufism and Theo-Ecology. He engages classical Islamic texts—particularly those of Said Nursi and Suhrawardi—in critical dialogue with contemporary environmental crises, seeking to construct a robust Islamic cosmological ethics that addresses the ontological and ethical dimensions of the God-human-nature relationship.
