Journal of Arabic Language Studies

The Journal of Arabic Language Studies (ADAD) is an international, peer-reviewed, academic, and open-access journal published by the Faculty of Theology at Kilis 7 Aralık University. ADAD aims to disseminate original and high-quality scholarly studies in the fields of Arabic language and literature.

The scope of the journal includes classical and modern Arabic, Arabic linguistics, morphology, syntax, lexicography, semantics, rhetoric, literary criticism, classical and modern Arabic literature, Arabic language teaching, translation studies, and interdisciplinary research related to these fields. The journal publishes research articles, book reviews, dissertation reviews, symposium reviews, and other scholarly contributions deemed appropriate by the Editorial Board.

Manuscripts submitted to ADAD must not have been previously published in any printed or electronic medium and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submitted manuscripts are initially reviewed by the Editorial Board in terms of their relevance to the journal’s aims and scope, originality, academic quality, and compliance with the journal’s author guidelines. Research articles that pass the preliminary evaluation are reviewed by at least two experts in the relevant field through a double-blind peer-review process. Manuscripts considered unsuitable during the preliminary evaluation are returned to their authors without being sent for peer review.

Before entering the review process, all submitted manuscripts are screened for similarity using plagiarism-detection software. Manuscripts found to be inconsistent with the principles of research and publication ethics are not considered for evaluation.

ADAD publishes manuscripts written in Turkish, Arabic, and English. Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the article template and author guidelines available on the journal’s DergiPark page. Manuscripts that do not meet the prescribed academic and formatting requirements may be returned to their authors for revision.

The Journal of Arabic Language Studies is committed to the principles of transparency, impartiality, academic originality, and publication ethics in scholarly publishing. It aims to contribute to Arabic language studies at both national and international levels.
