Document Format and Font: Submissions sent to the Journal must be in “Microsoft Word” format, using “Times New Roman” font at 12-point size. Footnotes should be single-spaced, Times New Roman 10-point, normal style, and placed at the bottom of the page. A single line space should not be left between paragraphs or before or after headings. Submissions sent to the Journal must be written using Latin characters.
Content and Word Limits: Submissions sent to the Journal must include, in order: title (Turkish and English), author information, abstract (Turkish and English), keywords (Turkish and English), main text, footnotes, and bibliography. The title must be written in all capital letters, bold, and centered. Likewise, an English title written in the same format must be included after the Turkish abstract and above the English “Abstract”. The Turkish “Özet” and English “Abstract” sections must be between 100 and 200 words. If the author wishes, they may add a German or French title and abstract in addition to the Turkish and English ones. The number of keywords must be at least 3 and at most 5. English translations of the keywords (“Keywords”) are mandatory. The main text of submissions sent to the Journal should not exceed 40 pages and 15,000 words. The title, abstracts, and bibliography are not included in this word limit. The terms “ÖZET”, “ABSTRACT”, “Anahtar Kavramlar”, and “Keywords” must be written in bold and italic. The abstract and keywords themselves must be written in italic.
Heading Format: The following numbering should be used for headings according to their level: First-level section headings with capital Roman numerals (I, II, III, IV, V, etc.); Second-level section headings with capital letters (A, B, C, D, E, etc.); Third-level section headings with Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.); Fourth-level section headings with lowercase letters (a, b, c, d, e, etc.); Fifth-level section headings with Arabic numerals in parentheses [(1), (2), (3), (4), (5), etc.]. Numbering for other section headings is optional. Headings such as “Introduction” and “Assessment” should not be numbered. All headings must be 12-point and bold.
Citation Method: In cases where a rule is not specified in the citation method detailed below, the OSCOLA (The Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities) system must be followed. Detailed information on this citation method can be accessed at: www.law.ox.ac.uk/oscola Citations to sources used must be shown as footnotes at the bottom of each page. It is not necessary to include a table of abbreviations in the submissions. Sources used should be cited in footnotes as follows:

Websites and Blogs: If citing a page without a specific author, the citation starts with the title of the page, as with any unauthored work. If there is no publication date on the website, only the access date is given.

Court Decisions: For court decision citations, the respective courts sometimes have their own guides and rules on how to cite their decisions. If such rules exist for the cited decision, they must be followed. If no such rules exist, the citation is made in the following manner. Court and Chamber Information (abbreviation may be used), (if available) Case Name, Decision Number, Decision Date, (if printed/published) Publication Information. Examples: YCGK, 2015/1180 E., 2019/707 K., 10.12.2019. ECtHR, A.A. and Others v. Sweden, no. 14499/09, § ..., 28 June 2012.
When citing works with multiple authors or editors, a “/” punctuation mark is placed between the author or editor names and surnames. Subsequent citations to a previously cited work are made as follows: Author's Surname, Page Number. Example: Ayhan, p 90. In citations to more than one work by the same author, the title of the work should be shortened in a way that distinguishes it from the author's other works: Example: Ayhan, Ticari İşletme, p 213. Ayhan, Kâr Payı, p 100.
Bibliography: At the end of the article, a “BIBLIOGRAPHY” (KAYNAKÇA) listing the sources used in the article must be included. The bibliography should be alphabetized by author's surname, with a “hanging indent”. In the bibliography, the author's surname is listed first, followed by the first letter of their given name. Examples: Ayhan R, Ticarî İşletme Hukuku, 2nd edn, Turhan Kitabevi, 2007.
