Peer Review Process

The refereeing process is carried out with the principle of double-blind refereeing in Journal of Karya Health Science. Reviewers do not contact authors directly, their reviews and comments are processed through the journal management system. Every manuscript submitted to Journal of Karya Health Science is first evaluated by the editorial board in terms of writing, scientific value, originality, plagiarism and ethics. The manuscript that does not comply with these criteria is rejected with its justifications without being evaluated by the referee. The appropriate manuscript is first reviewed by the secretariat in terms of spelling rules. It is then sent to the statistics and language editor according to the article type. Article which completes this process are appointed to field editors. Field editors send the article to two independent rewiever who are experts in their fields. The names of the rewievers and authors are kept confidential from each other. The time for the rewievers to notify whether they will evaluate the article sent to them is 5 days. The evaluation period of the rewievers who accept to evaluate the article is 15 days. This process is followed and executed by the field editors. If the evaluating is not accepted, the field editors appoint a new rewiever for the article. With the positive opinion of two of the rewievers and the approval of the field editor, the article is accepted for publication. The article that receives a positive and negative rewiever's report is sent to a third rewiever and whether the article is published or not is determined in line with the report of the third rewiever. The period for corrections requested from the authors is 15 days. The authors are required to make the desired corrections in a timely manner and upload the revision and rewiever response file to the system via DergiPark. The publication review process is concluded in 3-6 months on average. All transactions are carried out electronically. The editorial board decides in which issue of the journal the accepted article will be published. In the final checks made during the layout of the article accepted for publication, spelling and grammatical errors can be corrected by the editorial board without touching the content of the article.
