Surviving by maintaining the rights of the Lausanne Treaty in Western Thrace within
the boundaries of Greece, The Muslims are continuing their culture and religious
practices. Hymns are also included in the music and literature, which are elements
of these beliefs and cultural traditions. Islam in Anatolia is considered as " Sunni"
tradition and "Alevi- Bektashi" tradition, which live in the same garden side by side
in two different colors like white and red roses. The "hymn"s in Turkish music and
literature are shared jointly by both sides and they are performed with the same
hymn tunes in both sides as we observed. In particular, the hymn samples of Yunus
Emre poetry are forefront at both side. In this article some examples of hymns of the
Turkish Muslim community living in Western Thrace will be presented we have
compiled.
