Abstract
Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, Türkiye’de uygulanan döviz kuru politikalarının işsizlikle ilişkisinin analiz edilmesidir. Bu amaçla çalışmada, önce döviz kuru işsizlik ilişkisi kuramsal olarak incelenmektedir. Ardından da, 1980’den sonra Türkiye’de uygulanan döviz kuru politikalarının genel olarak ekonomiye etkileri ele alınmaktadır. Çalışmanın sonunda da, Türkiye’de döviz kuru ve işsizlik ilişkisi, ampirik olarak incelenmekte ve kurulan ekonometrik modellerle bu ilişki, Türkiye için analiz edilmektedir. Kurulan ekonometrik modellerin sonuçlarına göre, Türkiye’de döviz kuru ile işsizlik oranı arasında yakın bir ilişkinin söz konusu olduğu anlaşılmaktadır
Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to analyze exchange rate policies being applied
in Turkey and its relationship with unemployment. For this, firstly, the relations between
exchange rate and unemployment will be looked at theoretically. Secondly, the effects
of exchange rate policies applied in Turkey after 1980’s on Turkish economy is also to be discussed in general. In the final section of the paper, the relationship between exchange
rate and unemployment in Turkey will be dealt with empirically and then the econometrical
models are set to analyze this relationship for Turkey. According to the outcomes
of the set econometrical models, it has been established that there is a close relationship
between exchange rate and unemployment in Turkey.
