Abstract

Bu çalışmada eğitimin paydaşları olan öğretmen, yönetici ve öğrencilerin süreç içerisinde birebir yer aldıkları, bazen iyileştirmeye bazen de dönüştürmeye yönelik düzenleme fırsatı sunan bir yöntem olan “Eylem Araştırması” tanıtılmıştır. Eylem araştırması, katılımcıları sosyal ortamları içerisinde uygulama yaparak tanıma şansı sunan, eğitim uygulamalarında işbirliğine dayalı bireysel bir inceleme yöntemi olarak tanımlanan sistematik bir süreçtir. Alan yazında yapılan çalışmalar ışığında eylem araştırmasının tarihçesi, felsefesi, modelleri, özellikleri vb. bilgilerin yer aldığı bu çalışmada özellikle eğitim çalışmalarındaki yapısı hakkında detaylı bilgi sunulmuştur. Eğitim paydaşları olan öğretmen, öğrenci, yöneticiler yönünde ne tür faydalar sağladığı aktarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca gerçek yaşam problemlerini çözme girişiminde nasıl kullanılabileceği, uygulayıcının dikkat etmesi gereken noktaların ne olduğu vurgulanarak, yararları ve sınırlılıklarından söz edilmiştir.

Action Research in Educational Studies

Abstract

This study introduces “action research”. Teachers, administrators, and students, who are the stakeholders of education, personally take part in action research, which allows making arrangements for improvement or transformation. Action research is a systematic process that allows getting to know the participants through practices in their social environments and is defined as a method of individual examination based on collaboration in educational practices. This study presents information about the history, philosophy, models, and characteristics of action research in the light of the studies in the literature. Also, detailed information is provided about its structure in educational research. The study also tries to explain the benefits action research brings to teachers, students, and administrators, who are the stakeholders of education. Furthermore, the study mentions how action research can be used within attempts to solve real-life problems, highlights the points to be considered by its implementer, and states its benefits and limitations.
