Petrol Fiyatları ve Enflasyon İlişkisi: Seçilmiş Petrol İthalatçısı Ülkeler İçin Panel Veri Analizi

Abstract




Üretim ve tüketim faaliyetlerinin temel
bileşenlerinden olan petrol ve türevleri, uluslararası ticarete konu olan en
önemli ürünler arasında yer almaktadır. Arz ve talep koşullarına bağlı olarak
dünya petrol fiyatındaki değişmeler, özellikle petrol ithal eden ülkelerde
maliyet artışları yoluyla enflasyona neden olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, petrol
fiyatının en çok petrol ithal eden 20 ülkede enflasyonist etkisi analiz
edilmiştir. 1993-2017 dönemi yıllık verileri, panel veri yöntemi ile analiz
edilmiş ve petrol fiyatlarının enflasyonu uyarıcı bir etkiye sahip olduğu
sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
