A CASE OF FRONTOTEMPORAL DEMENTIA PRESENTING WITH HOARDING AND WANDERING

Abstract

The differential diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia might be challenging in many cases as bv- FTD may present with a wide variety of clinical symptoms.bv-FTD also could be comorbid with mood disorders or anxiety disorders. In this paper, a frontotemporal dementia case presenting with hoarding and wandering appeared after a stressful life event is mentioned and differential diagnosis of dv-FTD is discussed through the case

İstifçilikle ve amaçsız gezinme ile seyreden bir frontotemporal demans olgusu

Abstract

Klinik belirtileri çok çeşitli olan frontotemporal demans davranışsal varyantının (dv-FTD) ayırıcı tanısında duygudurum bozuklukları ve anksiyete bozuklukları yer alır. Bazı olgularda ise duygudurum bozuklukları ve anksiyete bozuklukları dv-FTD’ye komorbid olarak bulunur. Sosyal stresör ardından başlayan şiddetli anksiyeteye amaçsız gezinme ve istifçiliğin eşlik ettiği bir FTD olgusunu; bu olgu üzerinden de dv-FTD ayırıcı tanısını tartışacağız
