Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the thinking about diseases of patients who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia, aspects of their improvement in diseases and social support resources. A form consisting of open-ended questions was applied to 103 patients with diagnose of schizophrenic disorder. It has been found that the psychological symptoms of the disease, stigmatization, social dysfunction, and physical symptoms are the most common discomforts of the disease. Patients with schizophrenic disorder got support mostly from mothers, fathers, siblings, spouses, children, and other relatives. Spiritual support was the most salient. The importance of psycho-education towards the patients' relatives and the employment of the patients in accordance with their abilities are important

Şizofreni tanısı konan hastaların hastalıklarına ilişkin düşünceleri konusunda yarı niteliksel bir çalışma

Abstract

Şizofreni tanısı konmuş olan hastaların hastalıkları hakkındaki düşüncelerini, hastalıkları konusunda iyiye giden yönlerin neler olduğunu ve sosyal destek kaynaklarını anlamak bu çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. 103 şizofrenik bozukluk tanısı konmuş hastaya açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan bir form yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formatında uygulanmıştır. Hastalığın rahatsız edici yanı olarak hastalar tarafından en sık ifade edilen konular hastalığın psikolojik belirtileri, damgalanma, sosyal işlev bozukluğu ve fiziksel belirtiler olarak bulunmuştur. Şizofreni hastaları desteği en çok anne, baba, kardeş eş, çocuk ve diğer yakınlardan aldıklarını ifade etmişlerdir. En çok göze çarpan destek türü manevi destek olmuştur. Bu çalışma ile hasta yakınlarına yönelik psiko-eğitimin ve hastaların yeteneklerine uygun istihdam edilmelerinin önemi ortaya çıkmaktadır
