A STUDY VARIOUS FACTORS RELATED TO SUICIDE PROBABILITY

Abstract

In this study, the relation of various personal, social and family characteristics to suicideprobability levels of depressive patients and normal’s are evaluated.Another aim is, one is to adapt SuicideProbability Scale (SPS) to Turkish culture whichcould be used for assessment and prediction ofsuicidal behavior. Results showed that severalfactors indicate significantly high suicide probability scores. These factors are; family history ofattempted suicide, trouble with the spouse andlow social skills level
