Abstract

Rapid, accurate and multidimensional assessment of a psychological crisis is a prerequisite for timely and effective crisis intervention. The importance of effective assessment of the crisis is also being addressed by related literature because of the assessment’s influence on the course and the development of the crisis. Unfortunately however, there is no standard and widely used crisis assessment system in Turkey. The purpose of this article to inform the reader about one of the most widely used systems of crisis intervention. Triage Assessment System Crisis Intervention (TASCI) is a real time assessment system by which an in crisis can be assessed on behavioral, affective and cognitive domains. TASCI had been translated to many languages and is frequently used by practitioners, educators and researchers around the world
