Abstract
Subacute thyroiditis (SAT) is an inflammatory disease of the thyroid gland. It usually develops after a viral upper respiratory infection. It is often self-limited, but about 20% of cases are refractory to treatment with steroids. Steroid therapy is the first line of treatment for recurrent episodes of SAT. This letter reports that colchicine may be beneficial in two cases of recurrent SAT after covid-19 infection and mRNA vaccination.

Abstract
Subakut tiroidit (SAT), tiroid bezinin inflamatuvar bir hastalığıdır. Genellikle viral bir üst solunum yolu enfeksiyonundan sonra gelişir. Genellikle kendi kendini sınırlar, ancak vakaların yaklaşık %20'si steroid tedavisine dirençlidir. Steroid tedavisi, tekrarlayan SAT atakları için ilk tedavi yöntemidir. Bu mektupta, covid-19 enfeksiyonu ve mRNA aşılamasından sonra tekrarlayan iki SAT vakasında kolşisinin faydalı olabileceği bildirilmektedir.
