Obezite Tedavisinde ve Akupunktur’un Yeri

Abstract

Öz

Obezite, vücutta fazla miktarda yağ birikmesi sonucu ortaya çıkan bir hastalıktır vemutlaka tedavi edilmesi gerekir. Obezite tedavisinde; diyet uygulaması, egzersiz, psikoterapi, ilaç tedavisi, cerrahi girişim ve akupunktur gibi birçok yöntem kullanılmaktadır. Akupunktur, vücuttaki belli noktalara iğne batırarak gerçekleşen bir tedavi yöntemidir. Gün geçtikçe de obezite tedavisinde akupunktur tüm Dünya’da önemli bir yeralmaya başlamıştır. Akupunktur geleneksel Çin tıbbının bilinen en eski tedavi şeklidir.Vücutta dengenin sağlanması prensibine dayanır. Endojen opioid düzeylerini arttırarak ağrıyı giderici etki sağlamaktadır. Obezite üzerine olan etkisi çeşitli mekanizmalarla gerçekleşmektedir. İştahı azaltması, gastrik asit düzeyini azaltması, yükselen Beta Endorfin düzeylerinin metabolik etkileri ve artış gösteren serotonin düzeylerinin sempatik ak-tiviteyi arttırması gibi mekanizmalar belirtilmektedir. Obezite tedavisinde birçok yöntem uygulanmaktadır (diet,egzersiz ,psikoterapi,cerrahi metotlar v.s). Tek başına bir yöntemin obezite tedavisinde belirli bir ölçüde etkili olduğu bilinmektedir. Bu tedavi yaklaşımlarında akupunkturun da yer alabileceği düşünülebilir.
