Öz

Sıvı ve elektrolit dengesinin sağlanması, hem intrauterin dönemde hem de doğum sonrası gelişim sürecinde normal hücre ve organ fonksiyonlarının sağlanması için gereklidir. Sıvı ve elektrolit dengesindeki fizyolojik değişikliklerin bilinmesi ve uygun desteğin sağlanması yenidoğan yoğun bakımının önemli konularından birisidir. Amaç fetüsün başarılı bir şekilde yenidoğan dönemine geçişini sağlamak, büyüme devresinde ve hastalıkların seyrinde normal sıvı elektrolit dengesini devam ettirebilmek-tir.  Bu derlemede term ve preterm bebeklerde sıvı-elektolit dengesi ve gereksinimleri ele alınmıştır.

Abstract

Abstract

Maintenance of fluid and electrolyte is essential for normal cell and organ function during intrauterine development and throughout extrauterine life. Therefore, understanding of the physiologic changes in the neonatal fluid and electrolyte homeostasis and the provision of appropriate fulid are among the cornerstones of modern neonatal intensive care. This review addresses fluid and electrolyte balance and requirements in term and preterm newborns.
