Kültür Araştırmaları Dergisi (The Journal of Cultural Studies) aims to contribute to the discussion of current knowledge and findings about subjects of research of disciplines that approach culture from different perspectives by focusing on the concept of “culture”; it aims to be a qualified academic publishing platform in line with scientific and ethical principles. The journal adopts to rethink cultural processes, texts, traditional structures beyond national frameworks and regional prejudices, and to support critical perspectives. The journal aims, with well-theorized empirical research, innovative perspectives in terms of content, to provide a critical space for theoretical and methodological innovation against the dangers of narrow-mindedness and speculative knowledge production.
In the Kültür Araştırmaları Dergisi (The Journal of Cultural Studies), there are research or review articles, translations, book reviews, and letter to the editor-type studies related to cultural sciences such as folklore, language, history, literature, anthropology, history of religions, and sociology. Articles are expected to contribute to cultural studies. While articles with less originality, only descriptive, hypothesis is not well established are not preferred; priority is given to articles containing theoretical debates and/or interdisciplinary approaches.
