Year 2024, Volume: 4 Issue: 1, 1 - 26, 31.03.2024

Abstract

Muslim woman’s personality has been drawn via the verses of Quran and the Sunnet of the prophet. Women in the early Islamic Period have had their own status and role in Islamic society. They also en-joyed their rights in education, work, worship and had their voice and space of freedom in their society. Holy Quran has shown women the road, so they know their mission and responsibilities as Muslim and work alongside men in establishing a society in which both are equal in rights and duties in front of God and both complete each other in specialties, physical and spiritual characteristics to live together in har-mony and establish welfare, justice, and peace on Earth. They attended gatherings where they would learn from scholars and engage in discussions. Women also had the opportunity to work and contribute to society. They were involved in various professions, such as trade, agriculture, and medicine. Some women even held positions of leadership and authority. Their economic independence and contributions were recognized and respected. Furthermore, women had a voice within their society. They participated in public affairs, expressed their opinions, and contributed to decision-making processes. Their voices were heard and respected in matters that affected the community. Women played an active role in social issues, offering their insights and working towards the betterment of society. The Quran emphasized the equality and complementary nature of men and women. It recognized the unique attributes and strengths that each gender brings to the table. Women were seen as partners to men, supporting and completing one another. Their collaboration was essential for establishing a just and harmonious society.

Ahzâb Suresi'nde Müslüman Kadınların Kişiliği

Year 2024, Volume: 4 Issue: 1, 1 - 26, 31.03.2024
