Nigella Sativa (NS),’dan izole edilen timokinon (TQ) özellikle antioksidan, antihiperlipidemik, hepatoprotektif gibi pek çok yararlı etkilere sahiptir. Bu derlemede TQ’nun biyokimyasal ve fizyolojik özellikleri özetlenmiştir
