Bir Buzağının Tüm Ekstremitelerinde Gözlemlenen Peromelia Olgusu

Abstract

Bu olgu sunumunun amacı, buzağılarda nadir olarak gözlemlenen peromelia olgusuna dikkat çekmekti. Sunulan vakada, 3 günlük Holştayn ırkı erkek bir buzağıda peromelia olgusu klinik olarak değerlendirildi. Anamnezde yeni doğan buzağının yakın kan bağı olan hayvanların çiftleştirilmesi sonucu elde edildiği öğrenilmesine rağmen oluşan doğmasal anomalinin esas nedeni belirlenemedi. Yapılan fiziksel muayenede ön ekstremitelerde radius-ulna, metacarpus, phalanx kemiklerinin, arka ekstremitelerde ise tibia-fibula, metatarsus, phalanx kemiklerinin olmadığı saptandı. Muayene sırasında başka bir anomaliye rastlanılmadı. Sunulan vakada yeni doğan bir buzağıda peromelia olgusu tartışıldı.

A case of peromelia of all extremities in a calf

Abstract

The aim of this case report was to draw attention to the peromelia which occur rarely in calves. Peromelia in a 3 days old Holstein male calf was evaluated clinically in this case. At anamnesis, it was learned that consanguineous mating was made but the exact causes of this congenital anomaly was not determined. Physical examination revealed the congenital absent of radius-ulna, metacarpus, phalanges in both forelimbs and tibia-fibula, metatarsus, phalanges in both hindlimbs. Other abnormalities were not detected during physical examination. In the present case report, peromelia was discussed in a newborn calf.
