Saponinler ve Bazı Biyolojik Etkileri

Abstract

Birçok bitkinin içerdiği fitokimyasal maddelerin biyokimyasal ve fizyolojik aktiviteler, reaksiyonlar ve çevrimlerde önemli rol oynadığı bilinmektedir. Bu yüzden günümüzde, bitkilerin yapısında bulunan kimyasal maddeler daha spesifik olarak araştırılmakta ve bu maddelerin koruyucu, tedavi edici ve antioksidan özellikleri incelemektedir. Saponinler çeşitli bitkilerde doğal olarak bulunan, steroid veya triterpenoid yapıda lipofilik bir çekirdek ile bir veya daha fazla sayıda karbonhidrat yan zincirine sahip glikozidler olarak son yıllarda, insan ve hayvan sağlığı ile ilgili araştırmalarda giderek önem kazanmaktadır. Bu derlemede, saponinlerin kimyasal yapıları ve saponin içeren bitkilerin bazı biyolojik etkileri incelenmiştir
