Bir koyun sürüsünde imidokarb uygulamasına bağlı kalp kası hasarının biyobelirteçler ışığında değerlendirilmesi: 5 vaka

Abstract

Vakalar kliniğe iştahsızlık, halsizlik, enjeksiyon bölgelerinden başlayan ve vücudun diğer kısımlarına yayılan tüy dökülmesi şikayetiyle getirilen toplam beş adet, bir yaşlı, koyunda değerlendirildi. Alınan anamnezde sürüye babesiozis tedavisi için ticari imozan isimli preparatın 1.2 ml (imidocarb dipropionate 120 mg/ml) dozunda koyunların arka bacağına kas içi enjekte ettikleri belirlendi. Enjekte edilen dozun normalden 2.5-3 katı oranında daha fazla olduğu ve enjeksiyonların usulüne uygun yapılmadığı anlaşılmıştır. Yapılan frotilerde babesiozise rastlanmaması nedeniyle; CK-MB, LDH ve cTnI düzeylerindeki yükselmenin imidokarb zehirlenmesine bağlı kardiyak toksisiteden kaynaklandığı, yine enjeksiyon bölgesinden başlayan ve vücudun diğer kısımlarına yayılan tüy dökülmesi, hiperemi, ödem, ısı artışı ve konjesyonun imidokarb toksikasyonuna ve hijyenik tedbirlerin uygulanmamasına bağlı lokal değişiklikler olduğu kanaatine varıldı.

Determining myocardial damage in the light of biomarkers in a sheep flock as a result of imidocarb application: 5 cases

Abstract

This study was conducted at our clinics on five sheep aged one years old that had anorexia, weakness and allopecia on injection sides later on this alopecia had spread to the other parts of body. According to anamnesis, animal owner injected 1.2 ml imozan (containing 120 mg/ml imidocarb dipropionate) onto hind limb muscles intra muscularly. The injection dose were 2.5 to 3 times higher than normal dose and injections were not also made duly. Blood smears did not also revealed babesiosis. Therefore, biochemical analysis results obtained for CK-MB, LDH and cTnI could be due to imidocarb related cardiac toxication. Furthermore, it was reached to conclusion that, alopecia, hyperaemia, oedema, heat increase and congestion seen on the injection site at the beginning and then spread to whole body could be due to imidocarb toxication and might be due to local changes as a result of not taken hygienic precautions.
