Abstract
In this case describes a crossbreed bitch weighing 28 kg with vaginal prolapse and Transmissible Venereal Tumor. The free roaming bitch was presented to the Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Afyon Kocatepe University with vaginal mass and hemorrhagic vaginal discharge. Anamnesis could not be obtained. On clinical examination, a protruded vaginal mass was detected. In addition, the diagnosis of Transmissible Venereal Tumor was made by vaginal cytologic and histopathological examination. Hematological, biochemical and hormonal analyses were evaluated. Although white blood cell count was increased, a red blood cell count, hemoglobin count and packed cell volume were decreased. After repositioning of vaginal prolapse, an ovariohysterectomy operation was performed. Transmissible Venereal Tumor was removed surgically under general anaesthesia. The patient recovered after the surgical operation.
