Böbrek Hacimlerinin Stereolojik Metotlarla Hesaplanması

Year 2016, Volume: 9 Issue: 4, 304 - 307, 01.12.2016

Abstract

Volume Estimation of The Kidneys By Stereological Methods

Year 2016, Volume: 9 Issue: 4, 304 - 307, 01.12.2016

Abstract

In this study we aimed to estimate the volume of the kidneys on six Pirlak sheeps; three of them right and three of them left kidneys volume was calculated by stereological method, Cavalieri Principles. The mean volume of the kidneys was found as mean 77 cm3 (CE=0.03) by using Cavalieri Principles, and volume ratios of the cortex, medulla and pelvis are 62%, 34% and 4%, respectively. Our results showed that using the Cavalieri Principle is simple and unbiased and it is the method that can calculate the ratios between the regions of the kidney.
