Neonatal Buzağılarda İki Farklı İmmunomodülatörün Buzağı İshalleri Üzerine Etkileri

Abstract

Sunulan çalışmada yeni doğmuş 18 adet buzağı kullanıldı. Buzağılar ilk kontrolleri yapıldıktan sonra her grupta 6 hayvan olacak şekilde 3 gruba ayrıldı. Gruplardan biri kontrol grubu (Grup 1) olarak, diğer iki grup ise çalışma grupları (Grup 2 ve Grup 3) olarak belirlendi. Kontrol grubuna plasebo amaçlı fizyolojik tuzlu su verilirken, Grup 2 ve Grup 3’e iki farklı ticari immunomodülatör preparat verildi. Vena jugularisten immünglobulin G (Ig) ölçümü için 0, 3, 7 ve 15. günler, hematolojik ölçümler için 0, 7 ve 15. günler kan örnekleri alındı. Hematolojik muayenede; Lökosit (WBC), Lenfosit (LENF), Monosit (MON), Granülosit (GRAN), Lenfosit yüzdesi (LENF%), Monosit yüzdesi (MON%), Granülosit yüzdesi (GRAN%), Alyuvar (RBC), Hemoglobin (HGB), Hematokrit (HCT), Ortalama Eritrosit Hacmi (MCV), Ortalama Hemoglobin (MCH), Bir Eritrositteki Ortalama Hemoglobin Hacmi (MCHC), Eritrosit Dağılım Genişliği (RDW), Trombosit (PLT), Ortalama Trombosit Hacmi (MPV), Trombosit Dağılım Aralığı (PDW) ölçüldü. Alınan kanlardan elde edilen serumlarda ise immunoglobulin G seviyeleri ölçüldü. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda IgG seviyesi 3. gün en yüksek Grup 3’ te tespit edildi. Ayrıca IgG seviyesi en hızlı kontrol grubunda, 3. günde düştü. Yeni doğan buzağılara 0. gün uygulanan immunomodülatörlerin yeni doğan buzağıların, doğumdan sonraki ilk on beş gündeki immunoglobulin G seviyeleri üzerine etkisi olduğunu düşünmekteyiz.

Effects of Two Different Immunomodulators on Calf Diarrhea in Neonatal Calves

Abstract

In the study, 18 new calves were used. The calves were divided into 3 groups in each group after the first controls. One of the groups was defined as control group (Group 1) and the other two groups as study groups (Group 2 and Group 3). Two different commercial immunomodulatory preparations were given to Group 2 and Group 3 while physiological saline was given for the placebo to the Control Group. Blood samples were collected at days 0, 3, 7, and 15 for immunoglobulin G (Ig) measurement and at days 0, 7, and 15 for hematological measurements. In hematological examination; Leukocyte (WBC), Lymphocyte (LENF), Monocyte (MON), Granulocyte (GRAN), Lymphocyte percentage (LENF%), Monocyte percentage (MON%), Granulocyte percentage (GRAN%), Red Blood Cells (RBC), Hemoglobin (HGB) Hematocrit (HCT), Mean Cell Volume (MCV), Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin (MCH), Mean Cell Hemoglobin Concentration (MCHC), Red Cell Distribution Width (RDW), Thrombocyte (PLT), Mean Platelet Volume (MPV), Thrombocyte Distribution Range (PDW) was measured. Immunoglobulin G levels were measured in the sera obtained from the blood samples. As a result of the study, IgG level was determined high on the 3rd day in Group 3. In addition, IgG levels decreased in the fastest way on control group especially on the 3rd day. We think that the newborn calves have an effect on the immunoglobulin G levels in the first fifteen days after birth.
