Abstract
Bu çalışmada, Esmer ve Siyah Alaca ineklerin süt örneklerinde Somatik Hücre Sayısı (SHS) ve SHS’na çeşitli faktörlerin etkilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Süt örnekleri iki işletmede bulunan 150 baş ineğin toplam 501 meme lobundan alınmıştır. SHS ‘direkt sayım metodu’ ile belirlenmiştir. Laktasyon sırasının artması ile log SHS’nın da arttığı ve bu artışın istatistiksel olarak önemli olduğu belirlenmiştir (P<0.01). İneklerin kış mevsiminde yaz mevsimine göre daha yüksek log SHS’na sahip oldukları ve farklılığın istatistiksel olarak önemli olduğu saptanmıştır (P<0.05). Laktasyon döneminin ortalama log SHS’na etkisi istatistiksel olarak önemli (P<0.05), ancak ırk ve işletme faktörlerinin etkisi ise
önemsiz bulunmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda laktasyon sırası ve dönemi ile mevsimin SHS’na etkisi önemli, ırkın ve işletmenin ise önemsiz bulunmuş; ayrıca bu araştırmada bulunan ortalama SHS değerinin AB ve Türkiye standartları üzerinde olduğu görülmüştür.
Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to determine Somatic Cell Count (SCC) and the factors effecting on SCC in milk samples of Brown Swiss and Holstein Friesian cows. Milk samples were collected from 501 lopes of 150 cows in two farms. SCC was determined by ‘direct counting method’. Log SCC increased with advancing lactation number and this was founded statistically significant (P<0.01). The cows had more log SCC in winter than those of in summer and the difference was founded statistically significant (P<0.05). The effect of lactation stage on log SCC was found to be statistically significant (P<0.05), however effects of breed and farm factors were not significant. It is concluded that the effects of all factors investigated on log SHS were significant except for factors of breed and farm, and mean SHS found in this study was higher than those of EU and Turkey limits
