KİTOSAN OLİGOSAKKARİTİN HAYVAN BESLEMEDE KULLANIMI I-BAĞIŞIKLIK SİSTEMİ VE PERFORMANS ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ (DERLEME)

Abstract

Kitosan eklem bacaklıların (yengeç ve karides) dış iskeletinde bulunan, toksik olmayan ve biyolojik olarak yararlanılabilen biyopolimer yapıdaki kitin’in, deasetile edilmesi ile elde edilir. Kitosan’ın önemli fonksiyonel aktiviteleri olduğu bilinmesine karşın kitosandan daha yüksek çözünürlüğü nedeniyle kitosan oligosakkarit formu (KOS) geliştirilmiştir. Son yıllarda prebiyotik ve biyokoruyucu oligosakkarit olarak bilinen sakkaritik doğal ürünlerle ilgili çalışmalar devam etmekte ve bu ürünler içerisinde bulunan KOS’e ilgi giderek artmaktadır. Prebiyotik olarak kullanılabilen KOS’in bağışıklık sistemini güçlendirici, sindirim ve performansı iyileştirici, antimikrobiyal, antioksidan, antikanserojen, antidiyabetik etkileri yanında lipid ve kolesterol düşürücü etkilerinin olduğu yakın zamanda yapılan çalışmalarla ortaya konmuştur. Bu derlemede prebiyotik olarak kullanılan belli başlı oligosakkatlerden kitosan oligosakkaritin bazı çiftlik hayvanlarında bağışıklık sistemi ve performans üzerine etkileri incelenmiştir.

Abstract

Chitosan is produced by deacetylation of chitin, which is non-toxic, bioavailable and biopolymeric structural element in the exoskeleton of crustaceans (crabs, shrimp, etc.). Although it is well known that chitosan has important functional activities, chitosan oligosaccharide (COS) form was improved due to its higher solubility than chitosan. Recently, many studies have been still carried out with saccharidic natural products considered as prebiotics and bioprotective oligosaccharides such as COS. As a prebiotic, it was proved by many new scientific researches that COS had immunity enhancer, digestibility and performance improver, antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticarcinogen, antidiabetic, lipid and cholesterol lowering effects. In the present paper, the effects of COS on immun system and performance in some farm animals were investigated
