Patolojik Altruizm ve Patolojik Regülasyon

Abstract

Psikolojide ve biyolojide bilim adamları tarafından son zamanlarda geliştirilen bir kavram “patolojik altruizm” (Oakley, 2013, Oakley vd. 2012). Bir patolojik altruist, “gerçekten altruist davranışlara girişen, fakat tam da yardım etmeye çalıştığı kişiye veya gruba, çoğu zaman tahmin edilmemiş biçimde zarar veren veya irrasyonel biçimde kendisinin altruistik davranışlarının kurbanı olan bir kişi” olarak tanımlanır (Oakley, Knafo, ve McGrath 2012: 4). Bu kavramı Buchanan’ın Samaritan’ın dilemması kavramı ile ilişkilendirebiliriz: Buchanan’ın Samaritan’ı altruist kişidir ve patoloji alıcının Samaritan’ın kendi altruistik davranışlarının kurbanı olacağı şekilde, “hiçbir iş” hücresinde yer almayacak olmasıdır
