Abstract
Altı yüzyıllık evveliyatındaki pek çok meşhur habercilerine karşın, Carl Menger Avusturya Okulu’nun asıl ve yegâne hürmete değer kurucusudur. Bu ünvanı, Avusturyacı iktisadî teorinin özünü teşkil eden değer ve fiyat teorisi sistemini sıfır noktasından başlayarak yaratmasından başka bir nedenle hak etmez. Fakat Menger bundan daha fazlasını yaptı: aynı zamanda, doğru praksiyolojik yöntemi iktisat biliminde teorik araştırma yapmak için meydana getirdi ve tutarlı surette uyguladı. Bu nedenle, yöntemi ve çekirdek teorisinde, Avusturyacı iktisat dâima Mengeryci iktisattı ve dâima öyle kalacaktır
